Odisha: Petrol Pump Staff Injured As Miscreants Fire To Loot Cash

Jajpur: Two employees of a petrol pump near Chhatia under Bairi police limits were injured after three bike-borne miscreants opened fire at them on Monday in a bid to loot money.

As per reports, the shootout happened when two employees of the said petrol pump went out to deposit cash in the nearby bank.

The three miscreants fired bullets at the car the petrol pump employees were travelling in near Chhatia police beat house.

However, they failed to loot cash because of a reported confusion between two bags. The looters reportedly decamped with a bag filled with documents leaving the cash bag behind.

The injured staff of the filling station were shifted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack after administering first aid at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, police have launched a probe to nab the shooters.
