Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Health department has created new teaching and non-teaching posts in the surgical and medical gastroenterology department of MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal has sanctioned the creation of teaching and non-teaching posts, Health department Joint Secretary Prakash Chandra Mohanty wrote in a letter to the Principal Accountant General (A & E).

While 10 posts have been sanctioned in Surgical Gastroenterology department, nine posts created in Medical Gastroenterology.

As per the letter, one post of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and senior resident each has been created in the surgical gastroenterology and medical gastroenterology department. Similarly, two posts of Junior Resident have been created in both departments.

The health department joint secretary further stated that three posts of Endoscopy Assistant are created in Medical Gastroenterology, two posts of OT Technician and OT Pharmacist in Surgical Gastroenterology.

The newly created posts will be filled up following the relevant recruitment rules and provision of ORV Act. The Group-C post shall be filled up on contractual basis initially, the letter stated.
