New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi has submitted 10 proposals before various Central Ministries to address the issues concerning Odisha’s capital city.

While addressing a presser in New Delhi, Sarangi said that the proposals are based on the grievances submitted by the people of Bhubaneswar parliamentary constituency to her and information gathered through her interaction with citizens during field visits.

Here are the 10 proposals:

-Select Bhubaneswar as one of the 9 cities for setting up Science and Technology city cluster under URJIT programme (University Research Joint Translational). The proposal has been submitted to Dr Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Science and Technology.

-Setting up of a Centre of Excellence for Marine Biotechnology under the aegis of Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar.

-Construction of a flyover at Nirakarapur (Khordha) crossing on the new Jagannath Road linking NH-16 to NH-223. Minister Railways has assured that appropriate action will be taken in this regard.

-Railway Minister also requested to upgrade Lingaraj passenger halt in Ekamra Assembly segment into a Satellite Railway station. The proposal was submitted as there are nearly 4 lakh people in the area and it has been a long standing demand.

-Minister Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari requested for construction of two vehicle underpasses in Khordha.

- Nijagada Tapang square on NH-16 between OCC square and Malipada square.

-Underpass or foot over bridge at Palla chowk in Pallatotapada gram panchayat

-Minister Labour and Employment, Santosh Gangwar requested for 150 bedded ESI super speciality hospital at Jagannath Prasad, Andharua Bhubaneswar.

-Based on the grievances of All Odisha EPF Pensioners Association, All Odisha Bank Retirees Association, Ex-servicemen, the MP met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for resolving their grievances.
