Odisha: Missing Cuttack College Student Found Dead In Hotel Room In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth was recovered from a hotel room under mysterious circumstances in Sailashree Vihar area of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

As per reports, the police broke open the room of the hotel and found the body of the youth. The deceased, identified as Abhishek Kumar Nayak, hailed from Urali area under Sadar Police Limits in Cuttack district. He was a third-year commerce student.

According to sources, Abhishek, who was reported missing since March 22, was staying at the guesthouse cum hotel for the past couple of days. Sources claimed that he was also into online trading.

As per the missing complaint lodged by Abhishek's family, the latter had traveled to the OMP Chhak at 5 pm on March 22 to hand over money to the driver of a truck owned by the family and did not return home afterward. The family members alleged that he was murdered.

On the other hand, the police suspect the youth died due to poisoning. A case of unnatural death has been registered and the police are waiting for the post-mortem report to establish the actual cause of death.
