Odisha: Minor Boy Found At Anganwadi Centre In Kendrapada With Slit Throat

Kendrapada: Panic gripped after locals at Tubihuda village in the district found a seven year boy lying in a pool of blood at an Anganwadi centre with his throat slit on Wednesday night.

It is assumed that the assailant/s had slit the throat of the boy using a sharp weapon before leaving the place. While it is not known how and when the boy reached the Aanganwadi centre, the identity of the attackers is still to be ascertained.

Police has begun an investigation into the incident to identify and nab the miscreant/s while the boy is battling for life at the Marshaghai Community Health Centre.

According to source, some days back, the child visited his uncle's place in the village along with his family to attend the funeral of one of his relatives.

Last night his family, relatives and villagers started searching for him when he did not return home till late in the evening. During the search, he was found at the Anganwadi centre in critical condition while there was no trace of the attackers.

Even though the boy has been saved in time, police are trying to find out the reason behind the murderous attack on him by questioning villagers and his acquaintances.
