Baripada: In view of a fresh spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in some states, Mayurbhanj district administration on Thursday issued special guidelines in the town to ensure strict implementation of Corona virus safety protocols.
According to reports, district and police authorities have been advised to check and ensure strict observance of Covid-19 safety protocols such as the mandatory wearing of masks, maintaining physical distancing at public places including workplaces and educational institutions.
The guidelines also stated that large congregations must be avoided at the market places ensuring strict implementation of Covid-19 safety protocols. No marriage ceremony, political or social events will be allowed without a No Objection Certificate from the police.
The district administration has also warned the people that strong action will be taken against the persons violating the Covid-19 guidelines.
Enforcement squads have been formed to ensure strict implementation of the Covid-19 norms.
"There has been a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in the adjoining states. So, the administration has alerted all the concerned officials in the district and block level. We have discussed about the strict implementation of Covid-19 norms with the officials through a video conferencing. I request all the people of Baripada town to cooperate with the administration in controlling the pandemic," said Mayurbhanj Collector Vineet Bhardwaj.
