Bhubaneswar:  Nearly 28,000 students will appear the annual high school certificate (HSC) supplementary examination starting from tomorrow. Board of Secondary Education (BSE) officials informed that special arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the supplementary examination in 122 centres across Odisha.

Open school students will appear the exams at 54 centres. Even as the supplementary exams will conclude on July 14, the examination for Paper II of the State Open School students will continue till July 16, 2019.

Board sources informed that all the examination centres have been identified as nodal centres while elaborate arrangements made for conducting the examination in free and fair manner. In view of the past incidents of question paper leak, the Board has asked centre superintendents to ensure complete ban on mobile phones.

Around 5.61 lakh students had appeared for the annual Matric exam which was held from February 22 till March 8, 2019. A total of 3, 97,125 students had successfully cleared the Class 10 exam this year.
