Cuttack: The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is yet to take a decision regarding cancellation of matric examinations at three centres in the State following allegations of malpractice. The meeting of the examination committee of the board in this regard remained inconclusive today.

BSE secretary Ramasish Hajra said a decision in this regard will be taken in the next meeting. “The examination committee discussed the re-examination at the three centres and the case of missing OMR sheets. However, final decision in this regard will be taken in the next meeting,” Hajra said.

Earlier, English paper at three centres – Krupasindhu Nodal High School at Gopinathpur in Cuttack, Government High School at Ghunsar in Bolangir and Palaspitha PR High School in Dhenkanal – were cancelled following allegations of rampant malpractice. In fact, a video of guardians entering the one of the schools during exams and providing chits to students had gone viral on social media. The meeting was held today to take a decision on re-examination at these centres.

Similarly, a decision with regards to the missing OMR sheets of 108 students of Padia High School in Malkangiri district is also yet to be taken, sources said.
