Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has announced the dates for filling up forms for the annual High school Certificate Examinations (regular and ex-regular) 2021.

A notification issued by the Board stated that the exercise will be held through online mode.

The filling up the form for regular, ex-regular and students of correspondence courses will begin from January 10, 2021 at 10 am and will continue till January 28 mid night. The candidates will have to pay the exam fee on January 27.

The students who can't fill their form within the scheduled dates can do the same between January 29 and February 2 with fine. They will have to deposit exam fee and penalty amount between January 28 and February 2.

The exercise for the regular and ex-regular students will be supervised by the head of their respective schools while the same for correspondence courses will be looked after by the deputy secretary of regional Board office, the notification stated.

Details regarding the form fill up and set by step instruction will be available on the Board website www.bseodisha.ac.in within the scheduled time.

The notification came four days after the Odisha Government announced to reopen schools for students of standards X and XII from January 8 amid strict adherence to the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the authorities.

Schools across Odisha are closed since March in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The students of standards X and XII will be given 100 days of classroom teaching before they appear in the annual examinations in May. Officials announced that classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays too.

Classroom teaching for students of standard X will be held from January 8 to April 26, while that for students of standard XII from January 8 to April 28, a notification issued by the education department said.
