Balasore: Proving the adage - when there’s a will, there’s a way- true, two siblings have scripted success by clearing the annual matriculation examination with flying colours by overcoming their physical disabilities.

The siblings—Narasingha Jena and his sister Jasmine passed the Class 10 exam by securing B and C grades, respectively. Both the students hail from Angar Gadia village in Balasore district.

The duo, whose life has now been restricted to wheelchairs, have now become a source of inspiration for many. “I am happy as my parents have stood by us and always supported us,” said Jasmine, who wants to become a doctor.

“My parents are my inspiration. They have encouraged us to study hard,” said Narasingha.

The achievement has certainly brought smiles on the faces of their parents. Not only the family members, neighbours are also proud.

“The parents of both the kids have done beyond their capabilities to support them throughout. If the two students get a little support from the State government, they can do wonders,” said a neighbor.
