Maoist Posters
Nabarangpur: Posters and banners put up by the Menpur-Nuapada division of CPI (Maoist) organization have been found pasted at various places in Raigarh area in the district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the posters bore statements criticizing various policies of the government. The red ultras have urged the local people to put up a battle against the administration to fulfill as many as 11 demands.
The red rebels have also reportedly blocked the Raighar-Hatigaon road by felling trees. They have also dug up roads at various places in the area.
Earlier last month, Maoist posters had surfaced in some panchayats of Kandhamal district warning people belonging to the Gond community to stop ‘aiding’ security forces deployed on counter-insurgency operations.
The warning posters had been spotted at Jhiripani and Bhandarangi panchayats under the Belaghara police limits.
The CPI (Mao) BGN Divisional Committee posters had been found at these locations stating that some people belonging to the tribal Gond community were joining hands with security forces by working as informers.
In the posters, the rebels went on to threaten the community members with death for lending a helping hand to the security forces.
