The woman identified as Sabitri Dehury was admitted to the hospital yesterday night after being bitten by a snake. Today, her husband called a black magician from Chhendipada area and allegedly performed some sorcery inside the hospital to cure her.

Later, when some people informed the hospital authorities about the matter, the black magician fled the hospital premises.

CDMO (Chief District Medical Officer), Rabi Chandra Gadnaik said that it was a case of trespassing after which the accused managed to perform black magic inside the hospital premises.

"We have tight security arrangements in the hospital but the accused managed to enter by impersonating an attendant. He also conducted black magic inside the hospital," the CDMO said.
