Bhubaneswar: The registration process for admission into plus II courses in Odisha began on Friday. Candidates can apply online for admission into various courses through Student Academic Management System (SAMS) till September 4. Students can apply for the courses by submitting Common Application Form (CAF) on www.samodisha.gov.in.

The first merit list will be published on September 9 and admission for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted between September 11 and 18.

The second phase of the merit list will be released on September 23 and the selected students will get admission between September 24 and 28.

The spot-selection list will be out at 11 am on October 1. Selected candidates can register themselves for admission between October 1 and 3. The spot admission will be conducted on October 5.

The application fee for General Category is Rs 200 and Rs 100 for ST & SC category. The School and Mass Education department has informed that no form will be accepted offline.

Students don't have to visit SAMS centres as all the relevant documents of the applicants will be verified at the selected Higher Secondary Schools/junior colleges during the time of admission only.
The education department has reportedly decided to conduct simultaneous document verification during the admission.

The entire process will be carried out under strict compliance of COVID19 guidelines.

Around 5.60 lakh students had appeared in the State Board (BSE) Class 10 exams this year, the results of which were declared on July 29. The pass percentage stood at 78.76 % this year.
