Bhubaneswar: Celebration with caution was the norm as people across Odisha celebrated 'Holi'--the festival of colours amid Covid-19 restrictions on Monday.

With a surge in Covid-19, the Odisha government has restricted Holi celebrations in the State anticipating that the festival has the potential to cause the virus to spread.

In view of the pandemic, the celebrations on roads and congregations at other public places have been restricted by the State government and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

People were found playing Holi with 'abira' of various colours with family members at home and not at public places including the roads. Processions, public functions were completely restricted as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the State government. Mostly, the roads wear a deserted look as people were busy celebrating the occasion with their family members at their homes.

Here are few scenes of Holi celebration across the State amid Covid-19 guidelines.
