Bhubaneswar: Odisha Higher Education Department on Tuesday issued notification for e-registration and admission to Plus III courses in various degree and autonomous colleges in the State for 2020-21 session. The government has however not mentioned about the exact dates on commencement of the registration and admission process.

The admission process will be conducted in a phase manner and each stage will have a three-round process for the completion of admission.

Students will have to log in to the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal and synchronise their mobile number with email id.

However, uploading certificates or mark sheet during applying for admission is not mandatory. Verification of mark sheets and certificates will be conducted subsequently, said the notification.

It also said that students will have to fill the online form which is available in the portal in order to participate in the Slide-up process. This year, students have been asked to submit their consent for participating in the slide up process in their own login portal after first selection as there will be no facility for auto slide up.

The college administration have also been instructed to keep the students aware and updated by putting posters and flakes inside the campus with detailed information about the admission process.

All degree colleges have also been asked for an active help desk, internet center and uninterrupted electricity service.

It may be noted that the State government has already announced to keep schools and colleges shut in view of Covid pandemic till August 31 and there is an uncertainty on the reopening time of the educational institutes.
