Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced to waive off the hostel fees of government ITI students in the State. The move by the government is likely to benefit around 30000 ITI students in the State.

The announcement means that students will not have to pay the hostel fees of Rs 125 per month of last nine months till December 2020 which effectively adds up to a total of Rs 1125.

It may be noted here that hostels of all educational institutions were shut down after the enforcement of nationwide lockdown in the wake of Covid pandemic in March last year.
