Odisha Govt Promotes 3 IPS Officers, Arun Bothra Appointed ADG

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has promoted three IPS officers to the rank of Additional Director General (ADG) Of Police.

As per a notification issued on Tuesday, IPS officer Arun Bothra, who recently cracked the sensational Nayagarh minor girl rape and murder case, has been promoted to the ADG rank.

Apart from Bothra, two other IPS officers- Sanjay Kumar Singh and Sunita Kakran have also been promoted to the ADG rank. The new promotions will be effective from January 1, 2021.

The trio- Arun Bothra, Sanjay Kumar Singh and Sunita Kakran are IPS officers from the 1996 batch. IPS Sunita Kakran is presently on central deputation while Arun Bothra is serving as CMD of OSRTC.
