Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday directed all the district collectors and project directors of district rural development agency (DRDA) to complete co-branding of all the PMAY (G) and BPGY houses by end of February 2021.

"The plaque containing logo of concerned schemes should be affixed on all the PMAY (G) and BPGY houses by end of February 2021," Arindam Dakua, Director (special projects) of Panchayati Raj and Drinking department stated.

The department has attached the revised design of the plaque in the official circular and said that the co-branding will be undertaken in those houses completed after financial year 2014-15.

"The stickers containing logo and beneficiary details of the scheme should no more be affixed on the houses completed since the FY 2014-15," he said in the letter.

"The other details of the beneficiaries as instructed vide letter referred above should be collected by the tagged-officers along with geo-tagging of these houses," he added.

The development comes at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is accusing the ruling-BJD of hijacking the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Today, the members of the BJP Mahila Morcha filed FIR against the Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik at the Capital Police Station alleging that the State government is using the Biju Pucca Ghar logo on houses constructed under the central housing scheme.
