Bhubaneswar: All departments of Odisha government and sub-ordinate offices of the State in the Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar will function with full strength from February 1, 2021.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievances department, "all departments of the State Government and sub-ordinate offices of the State in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack shall function with full strength of officers and staff, with effect from 01.02.2021 until further orders."

"However, all State government offices will remain closed on Saturdays. In case any department or office is constrained in maintaining physical distancing among staff members as a result of 100 percent attendance, they may regulate the staff strength, as felt necessary," the notification read.

"All precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 shall be strictly followed by the department as well as the employees. In case of detection of any COVID infection case among the office employees, the concerned office will follow the protocol issued by the government," the notification stated.

As of now, all the government offices in the two cities are functioning with 75 per cent of total staff strength in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, essential offices/services such as SRC and OSDMA offices, Police, Fire Services, Health Services, Municipal services and others have been functioning with full strength.
