Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Wednesday issued an advisory for the strict implementation of Covid-19 appropriate protocols in all government offices in the State.

According to the advisory, public access to the government offices and conduct of meeting will be restricted in view of the resurgence in Covid-19 in the State.

As per government sources, Covid-19 appropriate protocol will be strictly implemented in all offices as indicated below.

  1. There shall be restrictions on public access to the government offices particularly in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities and districts where incidence of Covid-19 infection is high. Only in extremely urgent cases, entry will be permitted in a government office based on approval of the senior-most official. For the redressal of public grievances, intensive use of e-Abhijog portal will be made.
  2. Physical meetings shall be discouraged, unless urgent and necessary. Meetings should be held online as far as possible.
  3. During physical meetings, a minimum distance of two metres should be maintained.
  4. Official works will be managed, as far as practical, by use of virtual means.

Meanwhile, BMC and BDA have also restricted public access to their offices from April 12- 30.
