Rourkela: Two persons including the loco pilot of a goods train were injured after the train derailed near Bimlagarh junction in Sundargarh district on Tuesday.

The goods guard of the train was also reportedly injured during the incident.

As per reports, the train was coming from Barasuan under K Balanga police limits in the district when it derailed near Bimlagarh. As many as 50 wagons of the train went off the tracks in the mishap.

According to preliminary reports, the derailment is supposed to have been caused by brake failure.

Train movement has been hit on Rourkela-Bimlagarh section following the incident. Railway authorities have dispatched emergency rescue van to clear the tracks and restore normalcy.
