Bhubaneswar/Mumbai: Dipti Jyoti Pattanaik of Dhenkanal district has brought laurels for the State by winning the IAWA Super Model 2020 title.

Dipti, who is a software engineer, overcame strong competition from 30 contestants and was crowned after she got the maximum online votes from the audience.

Padma Shri awardee Ashok Gupta and IAWA Chairman Daljit Kaur conferred her with the crown during the grand finale of the national beauty pageant held in Mumbai on Friday.

"I wish to give birth to a girl child as she takes the generation to the next step and it is she who takes care of everyone in the family," said Dipti during the question-answer round in beauty pageant.

Meanwhile, along with her father Prabhat Pattanaik, Dipti thanked the people of Odisha for voting in her support.

Odisha-based social organisation ‘Agrani Odia’ was one of the co-partners of the gala fashion event which was organised to support acid attack victims and to create awareness for the cause.
