Bhubaneswar: The Ila Panda Centre for Arts (IPCA) has awarded scholarship to five meritorious Odia art students studying Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at various reputed universities/institutions outside the State.

Mahesh Meher of The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, Deepak Kumar Mandal of the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad, Rasmi Ranjan Mohanty of JJ School and Arts, Mumbai, Sujit Kumar Swain of New Delhi College of Arts and Amit Ojha of Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya (IKSV)-Khairagarh (Chhattisgarh) have been awarded the scholarship. The IPCA gave the financial support to these emerging talents for a period of two years.

Eminent litterateur Gourahari Das and IPCA founder Pramita Panda gave away the scholarship to these talents at a special occasion at IMFA headquarters in Bhubaneswar.

As part of its endeavour to encourage meritorious underprivileged art students, the IPCA, a non-profit organisation has been awarding the scholarship to five students every year since last six years.

A book-Nandalal Bose and Shantiniketan- written by renowned artist Durga Prasad Das was released on the occasion.
