Odisha: Father-Son Duo Arrested For Job Fraud In Angul

Angul: A man and his son were arrested for allegedly duping a youth on the pretext of giving him job at a multinational company.

The accused identified as Ghanashyam Mishra and his son of Similipada area in the district had duped one Pranabandhu Jena of Benagadia in the same district of Rs 4.50 lakh on promise of landing him a job in the Tata Company. The duo had received the money around three years ago but failed fulfil the promise.

Frustrated over the approach of the father-son duo, Pranabandhu demanded his money back from them. Though the accused had paid back Rs 80,000 in three instalments, they didn't pay the rest of the amount. Moreover, they misbehaved with Pranabandhu whenever he demanded his money.

Later, Pranabandhu lodged a police complaint following which the cops arrested the duo.

"We have received complaint from one person based on which we have registered a case at Colliery Police station and arrested the accused. We will move court seeking their remand for further probe. We will investigate on how many people were duped by the duo," Angul SP Jagmohan Meena said.
