Bhubaneswar: The Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) will once again launch an agitation in the Capital city in Novermber to press for its long-standing demand of price, pension and prestige (Triple P) for farmers.

The NNKS will hold its national-level congregation at the Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar on November 6. The congregation will discuss several demands, including price, pension and prestige for farmers, informed NNKS convenor, Akshay Kumar.

"We had given our 18-point charter of demands on April 30 along with our 'Triple P' demand. We demand healthcare, education and a drug-free State. Students in large numbers have extended support to us," said Kumar adding 'if farmer lives, agriculture will stay and if agriculture stays, the nation will sustain'.

He further said that the student wing of the sangathan, 'Naba Nirman Yuva Chhatra Sangathan' is working towards ensuring a 'swabhiman' and drug-free Odisha.
