Kendrapara: It was nothing less than a shock for the district collector and other government officials at Rajnagar Block office when more than hundred bulls entered the premises during a public hearing today.

Later, it was revealed that some farmers released the bovines after their repeated complaints of damages caused by the bulls in the area allegedly fell on deaf ears. As a mark of protest against such alleged inaction, the farmers reportedly herded the bulls into the block office premises.

Responding to the allegations levelled by the farmers, Collector Samarth Verma assured of a solution within two days.

"It is definitely an unfortunate incident. I will speak to the SP, BDO and Tehsildar to resolve the issue as soon as possible," Verma said.
