Following the development Manu and his family took refuge in one of their relative’s house at Kaimati on Monday night. But they feel unsecured their too and took shelter at a rest shed in Chitrakonda on the next morning.

“The Maoists asked me about my role as a police informer. When I refuted their allegation, they didn’t pay any heed and threatened me of dire consequences if I don’t leave the village immediately. I had no other option but to leave my home,” said a crestfallen Manu.

A day earlier, the Maoists had given a day-long bandh call in Malkangiri protesting the recent police encounter at Alampakka area under ‘Swabhiman Anchal’ in the district in which two red ultras were killed.
