Bhubaneswar: The deadline for beneficiaries to link Aadhaar and ration card has been extended till September 15 by the Odisha government. Earlier, the last date for Aadhaar-ration card linking was August 31.

As per government reports, till now 97.7 per cent families and 93.5 per cent beneficiaries have completed the linking process. However, 2 lakh families are yet to complete the process.

Odisha Food Supply Minister Ranendra Swain today said that only after the completion of Aadhaar seeding, we will get to know about the number of ineligible or bogus beneficiaries.

"We will ensure that all the beneficiaries get the benefits. We have extended the deadline till September 15," Swain said.

On the other hand, the deadline for farmers' registration for Kharif season paddy procurement has been extended from August 31 to September 10.
