Odisha: Elderly Man Hacked To Death For Opposing Eve Teasing

Dhenkanal: An elderly man in Kankadasoda village under Parjang police limits was allegedly hacked to death by miscreants on Friday over passing of lewd comments to his granddaughter.

As per reports, two youths allegedly attacked Purnachandra Bai and his son Mohan Bai after Mohan's daughter and Purnachandra's granddaughter complained of eve-teasing by some lechers of the village.

Following the complaint, both Purnachandra and Mohan went out to confront the youths about the matter. After a heated arguement, the youths reportedly attacked the father-son duo with sharp weapons killing Purnachandra on the spot and injuring Mohan.

After the incident, Mohan was rushed to Mandapal hospital in talcher where he is currently undergoing treatment.

While a probe has been launched by the cops, no comments could be obtained from the police in this connection yet.
