Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway has decided to run four more special trains in its jurisdiction till further advice. Besides, services of five pairs of festival special trains have been withdrawn for less footfall of passengers.

The new pairs of trains are: Visakhapatnam-Rayagada, Palasa-Visakhapatnam, Palasa-Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur-Rayagada.

Train number Visakhapatnam-Rayagada Special, from Visakhapatnam will leave at 4.50 pm daily with effect from 15 November, 2020 and will reach Rayagada at 9 pm. In the return direction, the special train from Rayagada will leave at 5.15 am daily with effect from 16 November, and will reach Visakhapatnam at 9.25 am.

The second train, Palasa-Visakhapatnam Special from Palasa will leave at 5.25 am daily from 16th November and will reach Visakhapatnam at 10 am. The return train will leave Visakhapatnam at 6.35 pm daily from 15th November, 2020 and will arrive at Palasa at 11.30 pm.

Similarly, Palasa-Bhubaneswar Special from Palasa will leave at 6 am daily with effect from 16th November, 2020 and will reach Bhubaneswar at 10.10 am. The down train will leave Bhubaneswar at 6.20 pm daily on 15th November, 2020 and will arrive at Palasa at 10.40 pm.

Likewise, Sambalpur-Rayagada Special from Sambalpur will leave at 6.05 am daily with effect from 15November and will reach Rayagada at 12.40 pm. In the return direction, Rayagada-Sambalpur Special from Rayagada will leave at 2.05 pm daily from 15 November, 2020 and will arrive at Sambalpur at 8.20 pm.

As per a press release by the East-Coast railway, the services of Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar, Puri-Barbil-Puri, Puri-Paradeep-Puri, Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam and Puri-Howrah-Puri weekly Special trains have been suspended with immediate effect due to less number of passengers.
