Rourkela: An official of CRPF on Wednesday met the family of the Odia soldier Sushil Kumar Patra, who was martyred during a fight with the terrorists, at his residence in Bandhamunda.

According to reports, Sushil was deployed in the 130 Battalion of CRPF.

The defence officer, Sanjay Thakur met the family of the soldiers and discussed about the bravery of Sushil to boost their moral.

“I have come to meet the martyred Jawan Sushil’s family on behalf of CRPF in view of the week-long Flag Day, which is being observed throughout the country from October 21-31. It’s great to watch the courage of the people and the family members here,” said Thakur.

Interacting with the CRPF official, Sushil’s mother stated that she is proud of her son.

“Sushil has sacrificed his life for the service of the motherland. We are proud of his great act. Most of the residents of the area have supported us during our hard times and given us a lot of moral boost. They all are also feeling proud for our martyred son. We express our gratitude towards them,” Sushil’s mother said.
