Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Thursday reported 2128 COVID-19 recoveries taking the total number of recoveries to 257041.

As informed by the Health and Family Welfare Department, out of the 2128 recoveries, the district of Khordha reported the maximum 210 while Angul reported 149. Similarly, 140 patients recuperated from Cuttack, 114 from Sundergarh, 104 from Balasore, 100 each from Mayurbhanj and Nabarangpur, 99 from Nuapada and 86 from Jajpur.

The lowest recovery (9) was reported from Gajapati district.

Earlier in the day, 1913 positive cases were reported by the Information and Public Relations Department.

However, the death rate remained static with at least 15 persons succumbing to the virus in the State on Thursday.

With this, the Covid-19 caseload rose to 276094 while the death toll mounted to 1196.
