Bhubaneswar: With Covid-19 cases resurging in Odisha, the State government on Wednesday issued a set of guidelines for effective control of novel-coronavirus infections. The guidelines will be in force in the State from April 1 to 30.

The Special Relief Commissioner in the notification said that the District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners have been empowered to enforce micro-containment zones after careful evaluation of the situation.

“The Containment Zones will be notified by the respective District Collectors/ Municipal Commissioners and information will be shared with MoHFW. The notification shall be uploaded by the District Collector and by the State on their websites,” the notification read.

“With the detection of new positive cases, Containment measures, as prescribed by MoHFW, Government of India/ H&FW Department, Government of Odisha, shall be scrupulously followed in the containment zones. Awareness shall be created in communities on COVID-19 appropriate behaviour,” the notification added.
