Odisha Covid-19 Update: 2 Fatalities, 198 Fresh Cases In Last 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha reported 198 fresh Covid-19 infections taking the total tally to 3,30,690 on Tuesday. Of the fresh cases, 115 are from quarantine and 83 are local contact cases, informed the State I&PR Department.

None of the districts reported more than 50 cases. Angul registered the highest number of 34 cases followed by Sundargarh (23), Keonjhar (19), Khordha (17) and Bolangir (14).

As per State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, the death toll has jumped to 1887 with two more fatalities in the last 24 hours.

A total of 15,910 samples were tested in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tests to 70, 44,783 in Odisha. Odisha’s active caseload now stands at 2,243 while 3, 26,507 patients have so far recovered from the infection.
