Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha reported 192 fresh Covid-19 infections taking the total tally to 3,30,309 on Sunday. Of the fresh cases, 109 are from quarantine and 83 are local contact cases, informed the State I&PR Department.

None of the districts reported more than 50 cases. Sundargarh registered the highest number of 33cases followed by Angul (24), Bolangir (17), Sambalpur (16) and Jharsuguda (13).

As per State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, the death toll has jumped to 1883 with three more fatalities in the last 24 hours.

A death each was reported from Bolangir, Ganjam and Sundargarh districts.

The health department has also shared the details of the Covid-19 patients who succumbed while under treatment at hospitals during the period.

A 40-year-old male of Bolangir district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

A 57-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension.

A 58-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

A total of 12,049 samples were tested in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tests to 70, 12,893 in Odisha. Odisha's active caseload now stands at 2,408 while 3, 25,965 patients have so far recovered from the infection.
