Berhampur: Two employees of TATA Power Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) in Berhampur were tested positive for Coronavirus on Thursday.

As per reports, both of them are asymptomatic and they are being treated at a hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Following detection of the virus, the office of TPSODL has been sanitised, informed District Collector, Vijay Amruta Kulange.

"The situation in Ganjam is under control. However, we should not drop our guard when the cases are on the rise in several other states," cautioned Kulange.

Urging all to adhere to COVID appropriate behavior, Kulange further said, "I would like to request people to use face masks and wash their hands as often as possible. Social distancing norms should be followed religiously too."

In view of the upcoming religious festivals like Maa Taratarini Yatra, Danda Nacha, Maa Budhi Thakurani Jatra etc, the district administration has directed non-local devotees to not to take part in all these festivals this year.

Tehsildars and BDOs have also been directed to keep an eye on the symptomatic patients in the district.
