Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health and Family Welfare department today informed that another 90 COVID-19 patients have recovered and are being discharged. With this, the total recoveries in the State has jumped to 977, while the active cases stand at 737.
As per information shared by H&FW, today 23 persons from Jagatsinghpur have recuperated from coronavirus, Jajpur (22), Bhadrak (21), Ganjam (15), Cuttack (3), Sambalpur(2), Khurda (2), Balasore (1) and Nayagarh (1).

The recovery rate in the state stands at 56.70% compared to 42.89% nationally. The state has so far seen 7 deaths and two more which have been categorised as "deaths other than COVID".
A 42-yr-old male of Khurda dist who was suffering from chronic liver disease & Hepatitis B, had tested positive for #Covid19.
He has succumbed to his chronic ailments. As per the death audit report, the cause of death is decompensated liver disease with Hepatitis B.

A 72-year male of Balasore district who was suffering from Blood cancer and other chronic ailments had tested positive for #Covid19.

As far as India's scenario is concerned, the number of COVID-19 cases under active medical supervision is 89,987. Till now, a total of 71,105 people have been cured. In the last 24 hours, 3,414 patients recovered from the contagious disease. This takes the total recovery rate to 42.89%, informed official sources.
Earlier in the day, Odisha reported 63 new n-CoV cases taking the State's tally to 1723.
