Odisha cops bag gold medals in All India Police Wrestling Cluster 2019

Berhampur: Two Odisha Police personnel bagged two gold medals in All India Police Wrestling Cluster 2019 held in Jaipur, Rajasthan recently.

According to reports, Jitesh Das and Balal Khan won in the 75kg and 70kg categories respectively. Both the cops, who serve for Ganjam police, were lauded with a grand welcome after they arrived at the Berhampur Railway Station today.

"There were competitions like wrestling, Kabaddi and body building with a total number of 500 competitors from several states of India. Odisha Police chose 13 police personnel including me for the competition. I won a gold medal in the 75 Kg category. I have been training for 10 years. The entire credit goes to my coach Rajesh Achary," said Jitesh.
