Bhubaneswar: In order to manage the escalating Covid-19 situation, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday sanctioned additional funds for three districts-Puri, Sonepur and Sambalpur- from the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF).

Puri district which had earlier received of Rs 14,59,74,408 from the government, has been sanctioned additional Rs 2 crore from the CMRF. With the additional amount, Puri district now has received a total Rs 16,59,74,408 for Covid management.

Similarly, the Chief Minister has also sanctioned Rs 1 Crore for Sonepur district, which was given Rs 2,50,00,000 earlier. With Rs 1 crore additional funds, the total amount of Covid assistance funds sanctioned to the district have now gone up to Rs 3,50,00,000.

Similarly, Sambalpur district received a total Rs 16,12,80,692 with additional fund of Rs 4,62,80,692 released today from the CMRF. The government had previously sanctioned Rs 11,50,00,000 for the district to spend on Covid management.
