Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday cleared four industrial projects worth Rs 464.72 crores. The 96th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting held today here approved the projects.

The SLSWCA headed by the Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy issued in-principle approval to the projects in the Metal & Metal Downstream and Food processing sectors which is expected to render 873 employment opportunities in the State.

The State government has cleared Galax Industries Private Limited to set up a Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 72,000 cubic meters at Malipada in Khordha through an investment of Rs 93 crores. The project will generate potential employment opportunities for over 310 persons.

A 120 KLPD grain-based distillery unit for manufacturing of Extra-Neutral Alcohol (ENA)/Ethanol and 4 MW cogeneration power plant in Khordha and Nayagarh against an investment of Rs 151.72 crores will generate potential employment opportunities for over 300 persons.

Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited has been cleared to set up a Pellet plant of 1.6 MTPA capacity at Lathikata in Sundergarh with potential employment opportunities for more than 195 persons.

A four metric-tonne per annum slurry pipeline project from its proposed beneficiation plant at Koira to pellet plant at Lathikata in Sundergarh will be set up by Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited at a cost of Rs 100 crores. The project will generate employment opportunity for more than 68 persons.

As per the State government data, Odisha has attracted over Rs. 1, 19,214.72 crores worth of new investments with potential employment opportunities for over 54,131 persons since February 2020.
