Dhenkanal: Unidentified miscreants broke open an ATM of the State Bank of India in Dhenkanal district and looted cash worth over Rs 25 lakh.
The loot took place last night and came to light today after the cash disperser machine was found damaged. The miscreants reportedly cut the cash disperser machine of the ATM counter located at Nimabahali Square under Motanga police limits using a gas cutter and decamped with the cash last night.

A total of Rs 25.56 lakh was stolen from the counter, sources said.
After the loot came to light, Dhenkanal sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) visited the spot today and launched a probe into the matter.
On December 3, a group of miscreants broke open an ATM of a bank at Kamarda market in Bhograi block under Jaleswar police limits and looted cash from the cash dispenser.
The previous day, some miscreants had looted lakhs of rupees at Soro in the district by breaking open two ATMs of Axis Bank and another finance company.
