Bhubaneswar: Jai ho Odisha! Odia boy Abinas Nayak has reportedly won Season 6 of the most popular cooking reality show, MasterChef India, which ended to a glittering finale recently.

According to a report of Mumbai Live, the 20-episode cooking reality series came to an end with Abinas winning the grand finale of MasterChef India. He was reportedly given away a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh.

The finale fight for the title was between the 27-year-old Aska boy, Abinas and 35-year-old Oindrila Bala. Abinas won the MasterChef Season 6 after a series of tasks, reported Mumbai Live.

Abinas drew the attention of the judges- Celebrity Chef Vikash Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Vineet Bhatia right from the qualifying round where he served them with ‘Chicken Besara’, which fetched him the MasterChef apron.

During his journey, Abinas was seen experimenting with Odia cuisine which impressed the judges multiple times. As per records, Abinas won eight tasks in MasterChef 6.

Worth mentioning, Abinas is the first Odia to be selected in the popular cooking reality show. Earlier, he had received Lokicooks Fellowship 2019, and was also among the Top-15 in Hungry for Haldiram’s cooking contest last year.

MasterChef India Season 6 premiered on Star Plus on December 7. Former Masterchef India winners and celebrities like Ripu Daman Handa, Varun Sharma and others were invited as the guests for the finale episode.
