Bhubaneswar: Further intensifying its crackdown on dalalraj in offices of the Regional Transport Officers (RTOs), the Odisha government today issued more stringent orders barring entry of such middlemen/agents in the RTOs.

Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda today issued a letter to all RTOs of the State asking them to take strict measures to eliminate influence of agents/middlemen and create a people-friendly atmosphere in offices under their control.

Panda has asked the transport officers to lodge FIRs against any agents/middleman trying to enter the RTO premises under section 188 of IPC.

In order to ensure strict compliance of the orders, the government has suggested the RTOs to stick to some regulations like issuing different coloured ID cards to officials, installation of CCTV cameras outside offices, and opening of e-KIOSKS to make the paperwork as hassle-free as possible.
