Bhubaneswar: In her first achievement in senior category at the international level Odia shooter Sriyanka Sarangi on Friday bagged a silver medal in the 5th Asian Senior Airgun Shooting Championship in China.

Sriyanka, who is representing India in the senior women’s team for the first time, bagged a silver medal in the 10 metre Air Rifle event of the ongoing Asian Airgun shooting championship at Nanchang in China.

Shriyanka had won accolades for the country in various junior meets. Earlier on January this year, the 17-yr old Sriyanka bagged silver medal in 10 meter Air Rifle Women category in the 12th Asian Championship held at Doha.

Shriyanka is currently practicing at the Gagan Narang Academy in Pune.
