Puri: The Railways restored normal train services from the holy city of Puri on Monday, informed the East Coast Railway (ECoR) authorities.  All the passenger trains as well as express trains, trains originating from Puri daily have started running from the tourist town.

“No train has been rescheduled or the routes of any train are diverted,” informed ECoR chief PRO, Jyoti Prakash Mishra.

On the other hand, the restoration work of Puri Railway Station, which was severely damaged by cyclone Fani has been expedited.

“The restoration work of the railway station is on in full swing and the work will be completed soon,” the ECoR chief PRO further informed.

Post cyclone Fani, EcoR had partially resumed train services from Puri by running nine special trains from Bhubaneswar on May 5.
