Normal life affected due to Jeypore bandh

Koraput: Normal life was hit in Jeypore constituency of the district today after members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) observed an 8-hour bandh demanding fulfillment of their demands.

The protestors have been demanding National Advisory Council (NAC) recognition for Borigumma and to make Jeypore Hospital fully functional.

Vehicular traffic was affected as small and heavy vehicles were seen stranded after activists staged picketing in various places. Shops downed their shutters and educational institutions and government offices remained closed in view of the strike.

Activists of the saffron party took to streets since early morning and were seen picketing at several key points across the constituency.
