Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Swasthya Mission Parichalana Karmachari Sangha has threatened to launch an agitation from September 10 demanding pay hike and regularisation of jobs.

The stir will affect 52 services in the State, threatened the association members who are demanding fulfilment of their six-point charter of demands.

The demands include regularisation of jobs, formation of non-medico public health managerial cadre, implementation of recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, minimum monthly pay of Rs 18,000, allowances like regular employees & abolishment of performance incentive.

“We have been discussing the issue with the government for several times earlier. A high level committee was also formed and talks were held. But so far nothing concrete has come out. The repeated appeals to government officials has failed to bear any results,” said Rabindra Kumar Jena, president of the association.
