Bhubaneswar: Odisha will continue to reel under cold conditions as the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar on Friday informed that there will be no large change in minimum/night temperature till January 4 and the weather will remain dry for the next five days.

However, the temperature is expected to rise gradually by two-three degree Celsius after these three days, added the Met Centre.

"There is not much change in the minimum temperature for the next three days and the weather will remain dry for five days. Shallow to moderate fog might occur in some places of interior Odisha and at few places in coastal Odisha," informed the Met Centre Director, HR Biswas yesterday.

Meanwhile, Kandhamal district continued to remain under the grip of a cold wave with Phulbani recording the lowest temperature 7.8 degree Celsius on Friday. Picturesque Daringbadi, also known as the 'Kashmir of Odisha' registered 10 degree Celsius yesterday.

"We have come from Sambalpur and the natural beauty of Daringbadi cannot be expressed in words. We saw the sunrise from the valley and enjoying the chilling conditions of the place," said a tourist.

Weather Forecast And Warning For Districts Of Odisha Till January 6:

Day 1 (valid from 1830 hrs IST of 01.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 02.01.2021).

  • Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
  • Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput.

Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 03.01.2021).

  • Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
  • Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput.

Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2021)

  • Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
  • Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Kandhamal, Koraput and Malkangiri.

Day 4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2021): Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 06.01.2021): Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
