No Exams For Class 1-8 Students, New Academic Session May Not Start From April: Odisha Minister

Bhubaneswar: Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today said that schools will not reopen in the State and all students from class 1 to class 8 will be promoted without any exam.

State government is reportedly mulling to take the decision to promote class 1-8 students in view of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. However, the government is yet to take a formal decision in this regard, informed Dash.

The Minister further said that the exams for class students will be conducted in offline mode as classes of the said students is presently underway in offline mode.

the new academic session may not start from the month of April this year, informed Dash.
