Bhubaneswar: Twenty-three feature films, including Odia movie 'Kalira Atita' by award winning filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda has been selected in the Indian Panorama 2020 films for the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) scheduled to be held in January next year.
Panda's movie is based on climate change and its repercussions. ‘Kalira Atita’ is one of the feature films which will be screened during the eight-day film festival in Goa starting from January 16 to January 24, 2021.
Selected from a wide pool of 183 contemporary Indian movies, the collection of films reflects the vibrancy and diversity of Indian film Industry.
The eminent Jury panels both feature and non-feature exercise their individual expertise and contribute evenly to the consensus that leads to selection of Indian Panorama films.
The Feature Film Jury, comprising of twelve members, was headed by acclaimed Filmmaker, Screenwriter, and Producer, John Mathew Matthan.

The Indian panorama Feature Film Jury selected 20 Feature films. Jury’s choice for the Opening feature film of Indian Panorama 2020 is SAAND KI AANKH (Hindi) film directed by Tushar Hiranandani.
The other films are Bridge (Assamese), Avijatrik and Brahma Jane Gopon Kommoti (Bengali), A Dog And His Man (Chhattisgarhi), Eigi Kona (Manipuri), Kalira Atita (Odiya) and Gatham (Telugu).
Six each of the 20 non-feature films chosen for screening in Indian Panorama are in English and Hindi while three are from Marathi. Gujarati non-feature Paanchika directed by Ankit Kothari will be the opening non-feature film in the Panorama section.
